Stock b16
Went up today and had John tune my 96 hatch with a stock b16 with a 50 trim turbo, cast manifold and 3in exhaust. Its my daily driver I told John to make what he thinks is safe and going to be reliable. It made 290hp-178tq off the wastegate on 9psi. John definitely knows his stuff. I highly recomend him for tunning. |

Stock-block GSR turbo
Very close friend of John's and I've worked with him at Innovative MotorWorks. He tuned my stock-block GSR that just had valvesprings and head studs. Garrett T3/T4, RLD-Fab ramhorn, and 3" exhaust. Made 380 whp on 15.5 psi, has run 11.3's, gets 31 mpg, and I've put 18,000 miles on the setup to date on top of what I did with it N/A. Couldn't be happier. :) |

This is the second motor i have had John tune for me. I must say i was impressed with what he was able to push out of a stock block gsr and mild built head. John made 206whp and 146lbft!!!!! Im very happy with the results and runs like it came straight from the factory, plus im getting the same MPG as the b16!!! not too shabby |

I used one of johns chipped po6's and on the basmap my ls with pr3's and crower 403's put down 245 at 10 psi on a precision sc60. I drove my car to the dyno which is about 90 miles from me and my car didn't have one stutter the whole way up. After excessive auto fine tunned my car It put down 290 whp on 11:1 c/r cast pistons ... Thanks for the basemap john |

211whp 142ft/lbs tq on 81mm B series!
My ECU in my car burned up the engine needed to be tuned on a new ECU. John spoke to me very late that night, to explain to me what to do to be able to drive my car for the next few days, and to his shop. On the dyno, he was able to pull 211whp and 142ft/lbs of tq out of a STOCK BORE (81mm) Type R block with a ported/built GSR head. The powerband on the car is incredible, along with the torque curve. The numbers were impressive, but driving the car was even more impressive. It pulls very hard, and feels great. Not only was the tune incredible, but also the entire experience. Not many people would take the time late at night to help someone they've never met out. John is not only a great tuner, but also a great guy. I've found my tuner for sure. |

john had my car on the dyno a few weeks ago running stock sleeves still ,all broke in turned it up to 20lbs boost made discusting horsepower and over 300ft lbs of torque..."out of a honda" .. this man is a genius in what he does!!! i still street drive the car and its a blast and reliable too.. jhon knows what kind of performce u will gain from parts and is very knoledgeable of them too.. can wait for the next tune we doo it should be nice..... just to do a update on johns tune on the street for my boosted h22a , put the car he street tuned the way it sits on the dyno today feb 08, 2008@about 7psi the car ,it was 49 degrees here in maryland ,the car produced 347.30 wheel horse power and 253.83ft torque.. the dyno shop hoohed a wide band up on the dyno and said it was excellent , we didnt change a thing.. car is still running like a champ with 1000cc injector...thanks jhon |

JK is a great guy to deal with and even for my near 3 hour one way drive just to get to his place it is well worth it. I have tuners within an hour, but I still chose to take the trip out there to KNOW that my car is getting the most power efficent and safest tune it could support. With a daily driven boosted Honda it has to be reliable and JK comes through everytime. I reccommend him to anyone seeking tuning in and outside the area. I went down to get my car tuned for the first time. I had assembled it from junkyard parts not even having the time to get the wheels aligned. John and McNew's Automotive were very patient as we got everything set just to get it on the dyno. After waiting for new sparkplugs we started doing runs and spent a good amount of time trying to get the wastegate to allow the turbo to boost beyond 2-3psi. It never did yet i walked away with a much better running car with a great tune. John is patient and looking to tune a car rather than leaving a customer with frustrations since they used cheap/sceondhand parts. |
